JOB OPPORTUNITY: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
Location: Strand Arts Centre, Belfast, BT4 1NY and East Belfast catchment
Salary range: £12,000p.a. (£24,000 full time equivalent)
Hours: 2.5-day week. Occasionally outside normal working hours.
Contract length: Permanent, subject to funding. Three years funding in place from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Summary of role
The core objective of the post is to ensure the artistic programme of Strand Arts Centre addresses the needs and interests of the East Belfast community. The post holder will act as lead facilitator and project manager for a number of Strand Arts Centre’s community engagement projects. The Manager will lead on or assist with the design and development of community engagement projects, and take responsibility for the delivery of these projects. This will require extensive working across the East Belfast area and arts sector. The Community Engagement Manager will report to the Chief Executive and work in partnership with the organisation’s Programme Manager and Marketing Manager.
