JONATHAN HEGAN (Vice Chair and Chair of Development Sub-Committee)

Jonathan is a Chartered Civil Engineer and the former Chairman of RPS Consulting Engineers (NI). He is the current President of the Irish Academy of Engineering.  He has enjoyed a longstanding and varied career in this country and overseas with a focus on Project Management. He has been integrally involved in delivering a number of local large scale commercial and infrastructure projects, including, Castlecourt and Lanyon Place in Belfast and Seagate in Londonderry.

Jonathan chaired the Board of Titanic Foundation during the iconic building’s concept and construction phases. He is a current board member of the charity, Engage with Age and, as such, is delighted to assist in forging the collaboration between Strand Arts Centre and Engage with Age for the delivery of their Film Hub funded ‘Silver Screen’ project.
