Workshops / Classes

The NiStars Saturday School covers singing, dancing, drama, modeling, DJing, TV presenting and loads more. With tuition from experienced industry professionals, students also get regular performance opportunities.

Saturdays, 10am –1pm. £60/month.

Performance Classes
Singing and Dancing performance classes for 6­-18 year olds with regular performance opportunities.

Juniors: Sundays 1-3pm

NEW weekly Chess Club for children every Sunday!
No subscription, just turn on the day to play

Time: 15:30 – 17:30
Cost: £2 for 1 child, £3 for family (2 or more children)

Providing a fun and safe environment to learn and play chess. Free coaching available for all children.
Each week children will have the opportunity to take part in club ladder matches (a leaderboard of all players), internal cup competitions, and a puzzles leaderboard.
All children welcome regardless of ability

The classes are most suited to absolute beginners.
If you would like to try yoga, increase your strength and mobility, have more energy and enjoy relaxing - then this class is for you!

'Lego City' creative building workshop + 3D virtual reality headsets to inspire the kids on their awesome city builds! The kids will be transported across the globe to explore different types of cities. They will also enjoy Lego Builds, Freeplay, build your chosen motorised Lego technic vehicle then drive it through the city obstacles by remote control. Facilitated by Bricks 4 Kidz,

FREE educational film screenings open to all.
Aimed at children of Primary School age. Each screening has either an introduction, handout or special activity & the kids are encouraged to review the films!

Monthly Heritage tour with our expert projectionist and Film enthusiast Alan McClurg.

Come hear about The Strand's history, its unique Art Deco architecture and traditional movie theatres. Get behind the scenes to see the workings of both our original 35mm film projector and the new digital projectors. Watch selected footage from the Northern Ireland Screen Digital Archive.
