Silver Screenings is a great opportunity not just to see a movie classic, but also for people to meet and interact, and enjoy a trip down memory lane. Films are chosen with seniors in mind but open to anyone who loves a classic movie! Tickets are £4 and include free tea, coffee and biscuits.

We can pay for the cost of transport for community groups and nursing homes, with priority given to East Belfast groups, subject to availability. Contact the office on 9065 5830 for more information.

7TH & 14TH MARCH – 12 Angry Men (1957) 

Crime/Drama. Eleven out of the twelve men are voting guilty, except for Mr. Davis… 

 

21st & 28TH MARCH – Madame X (1966) 

Drama/mystery. When her lover is killed, the wife of a wealthy man is convinced to fake her own death, which leads her into greater depths of depravity. 

 

18TH & 25TH APRIL – The Apartment (1960) 

A comedy by Billy Wilder. A Manhattan insurance clerk tries to rise in his company by letting its executives use his apartment for trysts, but complications and a romance of his own ensue. 

 

2ND & 9TH MAY – Vertigo (1958) 

Mystery/thriller/romance. A former police detective becomes obsessed with the hauntingly beautiful woman he has been hired to trail. 

 

16TH & 23RD MAY – Casablanca (1942) 

Drama/Romance A cynical expatriate American cafe owner struggles to decide whether or not to help his former lover and her fugitive husband escape the Nazis in French Morocco.
